i-D's Female Gaze Issue

Who run the World? Girls. (Of course we do).

i-D  is bringing a celebration of the visionary women shaping the fashion industry, this month, and I couldn't be more excited about it.

Starring British model and activist Adwoa Aboah (babe) and shot solely by female photographers, the issue is raw, honestly and beautifully shot and edited.

So it's never been a better time to be a woman. Arguable, but true in many cases when it comes to the fashion industry. There certainly is growing opportunities for young creative female photographers, models, actresses and directors in the industry. Exciting times for sure. I love how this issue celebrates that, with interviews with over 28 female designers and 22 models about their life experiences, lessons to learn and inspiration.

Plus, I'm crazy about the issues cover star and collaborator, Adwoa Aboah.

The 24-year old British born model and actress is the founder of Gurls Talk; the feminist initiative speaking out on addiction, sexuality, body image and mental health to encourage girls to talk. Aboah is so brilliantly multi-faceted and I love how the lens of Ines van Lansweerde and Harley Weir capture her mesmerising appearance, the vision of modern womanhood in all it's raw beauty.

Make this issue a must-read!
