Kendall Jenner's Vogue Domination

Kendall Jenner has finally graced the cover of the most important Vogue issue of the year, the September issue- and people are hating it.

It's true that the young model and reality TV star hasn't been missing from the pages of the notorious fashion magazine for the last 2 years at least. But it seems her presence gracing the cover of the most laboured over issue of the year has not been welcomed very well in the fashion world.

The overall tone of the distaste towards the Kendall cover is the fact that many critics regard her as being simply famous for being famous.

Many have heralded this cover as the 'end of fashion'. But are critics stuck in the past? I mean, what is the significance of a reality TV star gracing the cover if she has truthfully become an icon in her own right.

When looking further into critics of Kendall Jenner's career, it has been apparent that every successful move she's made regarding her presence on the world's biggest catwalks and in the pages of the dominating fashion publications, have been ridiculed and undermined.

It is true, that likely, without the fuel of her family's fame she may not have gotten to the position that she is in today. But that is a big 'what if?'

Do critics really need to re-evaluate the future of the industry they critique over?

We live in an age of social media stars, influencers, designers cross models, and reality TV stars shaping the trends and fashions of the moment.

It is without a doubt that Kendall Jenner is one of the most powerful influencers and models of the moment regardless of whether some believe she should be in that position or not.

What do you think?

Kendall has just secured herself another front cover, this time for Vogue Japan.

World domination imminent? I think so.
